Play It For Me, Basil

After a week of slaving to get this done, I am very proud to present my first picture with a fully-done background. I'm especially proud that it features Basil of Baker Street and Olivia Flaversham. c:

This was a commission from *Brinatello, and I must say I really had a hard time of it at first! It wasn't meant to become so heavily detailed, but all the better! I feel accomplished...and tired!

So the story is as so: Basil, being a stunning violinist (though Dr. Dawson and Mrs. Judson might tell you otherwise), was asked to step in as an understudy when the solo violinist of the Mousedom Symphony Orchestra became ill before a concert. Olivia tagged along for the ride. On the way back to Baker Street, Basil stopped to play a tune that was stuck in his head, and Olivia watched eagerly as he began to play.

EDITO: Some things I forgot! As for the toys in the shop window, some of them are references to Sherlock Holmes stories and such. The snake in the boot is from "The Speckled Band", and the boot it's in is Woody's boot. The horse is from "Silver Blaze", and the color he takes on references the Granada series' portrayal of him. And lastly, the ship is from "Gloria Scott".
