TA 2996 by murr-ma-ing TA 2996 by murr-ma-ing
Here are the four Hobbits of the Fellowship in the year 2996 of the Third Age. Little Pippin is 6 (human equivalent being about 3), Merry is 14 (8-ish), Samwise is 16 (11-ish), and Frodo is 28 (16-ish). I'm recently finding myself wanting to draw these four in their younger years being all cute and shit, so I drew them up. And here they are.

(Aren't they cuuuute?)

You know by the way you are wrong Frodo is exactly 51 or at least in the beginning I know it's hard to believe but I'm reading the book and they are all in their early 50's late 40's I think Sam is the youngest, but I am unsure it might be Pippin. Hobbits age well.

did you read the description or
if you look in the back of rotk, at the appendices, you'll find a list-version of some important events in middle-earth history, which includes birthdates. according to these dates, at the time of fellowship of the ring, the year 3018 of the third age, frodo is 50, sam is 38, merry is 36, and pippin is 28. this drawing was made to showcase them in the year 2996 of the third age, as the title and description states.

the average hobbit lives to be around 100, 20 or 30 years more than the average human lifespan, so yes, they age well, because they naturally live longer.

My favorite hobbit will be and always is Sam Gamgee, Then it's Pippin, then Merry, sorry to say Frodo is my least favorite hobbit out of the four, but if one hobbbit could be batter them all of them combined it would have to be.... wait for it....

Hah, oh dear, how did I anyway. I probably went through the appendices where it lists a series of events by date, such as births, and also consulted the LOTR wiki for confirmation/other information. And yeah, I like Pip best out of these. :3
